Our Approach
Before techniques, before goals — there is relationship. Everything else grows from there.
Trauma-Informed
We understand that many struggles have roots in experiences of overwhelm, loss, or harm. We approach everything through a lens of safety and nervous-system awareness.
Strengths-Based
We are not interested in cataloguing what is wrong with you. We are interested in your resilience, your resources, and your capacity — and there is always capacity.
Deeply Relational
Research is clear: the quality of the therapeutic relationship is the strongest predictor of outcomes. We invest in it before anything else.
Modalities we draw on
We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We draw from multiple evidence-based modalities and let the needs of the relationship guide which we use.
- EMDR
- Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. An evidence-based therapy for processing traumatic memories so they no longer hold the same charge.
- Somatic Awareness
- The body holds what the mind tries to forget. We pay attention to physical sensations as a gateway to deeper healing.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- We all have different parts — protectors, exiles, a core Self. IFS helps you understand and befriend them all.
- Attachment Theory
- How we learned to connect (or disconnected) in childhood shapes how we relate today. Understanding this is deeply healing.
- Mindfulness-Based Practice
- Presence as medicine. We weave moment-to-moment awareness into sessions to build regulation and self-compassion.
- Narrative Therapy
- You are the author of your own story. We help you separate who you are from the problems you have experienced.
